Another option is to organize an Online Meeting about a research subject with respondents. They log-in at a prearranged time. From this moment on the online focus group starts. Respondents are asked to visit a web site during the online focus group. The moderator can offer these Url's without the respondent having to type in the URL addresses. This way of exchanging ideas is a great solution when participants have busy schedules and live in different areas of the country.

When exchanging ideas over a longer time period we can use an Online Forum where respondents can place their thoughts on a kind of white board for others to read. Respondents participate whenever it suits them and respond to each others contributions when it suits them. The moderator can ask questions and ask for new input.

An online Online Questionnaire can be used as independent research instrument, however also as a tool to collect background information about the respondents.
